RoHS complient is a acronym for Restriction of Hazardous Substances.

This is an EU Directive 2002/95/EC , to restrict the use of 6 major harmful substances; Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Hg), Hexavelent Chromium (Cr⁶⁺) , Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), from the manufacture of electronic components and electrical equipment.
